Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2025. This page explains every cookie and similar technology 1one.shop uses, the category each one belongs to, and how to update your consent preferences at any time.
1. Overview
1one.shop uses cookies and similar browser-storage technologies to keep the site working, understand how visitors use it, and (with your consent) serve relevant advertising. When you first visit our site, a consent banner appears asking you to choose between accepting all cookies, rejecting all optional cookies, or customizing your preferences by category.
This policy lists every cookie and storage key we set, what each one does, how long it lasts, and which consent category it belongs to. We do not sell data collected via cookies, and we do not share cookie data with third parties beyond what is described in this policy and our Privacy Policy.
2. The cookie categories
Our consent banner groups cookies into three categories. Only the "Essential" category is mandatory; the other two are optional and require your explicit opt-in.
2.1 Essential cookies (always on)
These are required for the website to function. They cannot be disabled in our system. The most important one is the cookie consent record itself — without it, we would have to show you the consent banner on every page load.
| Storage key | Type | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
1one_cookie_consent |
localStorage | 13 months | Stores your cookie consent preferences (which categories you accepted or rejected, the timestamp, and the policy version). Required for the consent banner to remember your choice between visits. |
PHPSESSID |
Cookie (HTTP-only) | Session (until browser closes) | Standard PHP session cookie. Only set if a server-side session is required (e.g., for future form CSRF protection). Not currently used on most pages. |
2.2 Analytics cookies (opt-in)
These help us understand how visitors interact with the site so we can improve content and usability. Data is aggregated and anonymized — we do not use analytics to identify individual users. Analytics cookies are only set after you explicitly opt in via the consent banner.
| Storage key | Type | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga, _ga_* |
Cookie | 2 years | Google Analytics 4 visitor identifier (used to distinguish unique visitors). Only set if analytics is enabled. |
_gid |
Cookie | 24 hours | Google Analytics 4 daily visitor identifier. Only set if analytics is enabled. |
Note: Analytics cookies are not currently loaded on this site. When analytics is added in the future, this table will be updated and the consent banner will re-appear for all visitors (because the consent version number will increment).
2.3 Advertising cookies (opt-in)
These allow Google AdSense and other advertising partners to serve ads based on your interests. If you reject advertising cookies, Google AdSense may still display ads, but they will be non-personalized (contextual rather than behavioral).
| Storage key | Type | Lifetime | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads, __gpi |
Cookie | 13 months | Google AdSense cookies used to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other websites. |
IDE |
Cookie | 13 months | DoubleClick cookie used by Google to serve ads based on prior visits. |
test_cookie |
Cookie | 15 minutes | Temporary Google cookie used to check if the browser supports cookies. |
You can opt out of personalized advertising globally at Google Ads Settings or at aboutads.info.
3. How consent is stored
When you make a choice in the consent banner, your preferences are saved in your browser's localStorage under the key 1one_cookie_consent. The stored value looks like this:
{
"version": "1.0.0",
"timestamp": "2025-07-15T14:23:11.000Z",
"essential": true,
"analytics": false,
"advertising": true
}
This consent record is read on every page load. If the version number does not match the current policy version, the consent banner re-appears so you can review the changes.
4. Updating your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time in two ways:
- Use the "Cookie Preferences" button in the site footer (under Resources). This re-opens the consent banner with your previously saved choices pre-selected.
- Use the "Update my cookie preferences" button at the top of this page.
Either action re-displays the banner with three buttons (Accept All, Customize, Reject All) plus the Customize panel showing each cookie category. Change your selections and click "Save my preferences" to update your stored consent.
You can also clear all 1one.shop cookies and storage by clearing site data in your browser's settings. The next time you visit, the consent banner will re-appear.
5. Consent version and policy changes
Our cookie consent system uses a version number (currently 1.0.0). When we materially change the types of cookies we use, the purposes for which we use them, or the third parties we share data with, we increment the version number. This causes the consent banner to re-appear on your next visit so you can review the updated policy and update your preferences.
Minor changes (typo fixes, clarifications, table-formatting updates) do not trigger a version bump.
6. Browser controls
In addition to our consent banner, you can control cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
Disabling all cookies may affect site functionality. Specifically, if you block localStorage, the consent banner will appear on every page load because we cannot remember your choice.
7. Third-party opt-out resources
- Google Ads Settings — opt out of personalized Google ads
- Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out — opt out of participating ad networks
- Your Online Choices (EU) — European interactive advertising opt-out
- Google Chrome privacy defaults
